Surfeit of Santas
An illustration from Chapter 7 of No Trouble for Susan, A Surfeit of Santas. To curry favour with Charlotte, John Hunter, David Hepburn and Jeremy Vernon show up at Louella's book shop in Santa Claus outfits. At first all three are furious at their rivals for Charlotte's attention, but they soon see the funny side of it. It turns out to be a stroke of luck for the girls to have these three young men in the shop because Butch and his gang of louts are planning a rotten egg attack.
